Cheerleading 

All-star cheerleading is one of Canada's fastest-growing sports that incorporates tumbling, stunting, dance into a single routine. Athletes learn teamwork, dedication, and commitment while enjoying travel, competitions, and other events. 

At Calgary Stars, we offer cheerleading programs for children and athletes of all ages and abilities. From competitive allstar cheerleading to recreational cheerleading to tumbling classes for cheerleaders. 

All Star Cheerleading

Calgary Stars is the proud home of Calgary's longest-standing competitive cheerleading program, offering introductory cheerleading teams for athletes with no experience as well as elite-level teams for the more-experienced cheerleader. Teams are selected annually at team placements and all are welcome and encouraged to tryout. Once selected, teams practice weekly September through May and attend local competitions as well as travel events. Tryouts are required but all athletes will make a team - Allstar, Prep or Rec!

Calgary Stars holds tryouts for its competitive cheerleading program every year in May.

Allstar Prep Cheerleading

Calgary Stars offers Allstar Prep cheerleading, a division of Allstar cheer that allows athletes to train in a competitive setting with minimized training & financial commitment while attending local and regional competitions. Teams train once per week and compete against other Prep teams in the province. Tryouts are required but all athletes will make a team - Allstar, Prep or Rec!

Recreational Cheerleading

Calgary Stars offers recreational cheerleading classes for children ages four and up. Classes meet once per week and participants learn basic cheerleading skills such as building, stunting, tumbling, balancing, and jumping. Recreational cheerleading classes are a great way to learn about the sport before committing to a competitive program.
